Thank you to Waterford Local Enterprise Partnership and Junior Achiever Ireland for hosting a fantastic event to celebrate the businesses and entrepreneurial spirit of our 5th class.
Following weeks of working with our wonderful business mentor Christine Murphy from EPA Ireland, the boys and girls brought their finished business plans, product prototypes and excellent pitches to SETU. There, they presented their business ideas to business leaders or FROGS (For Recognition Of Greatness).
We had six enthusiastic and well prepared groups who really did themselves proud! The businesses were Costume World, Rockey Designs, Beach Rocks, Pocket Master Drill Book and Shooting For the Future.
The team from Pocket Master Drill Book received a special award for Best Presentation!
There was an additional trophy for all schools present for best reflection on the whole process. Well done to Gráinne who wrote a powerful message about how each of us can make a positive difference in the world and who was so deservedly recognised for the award!
Well to done to each and every group for the effort, creativity, hardwork and teamwork that was shown throughout this project.
