We had a wonderful celebration at our recent assembly to honour our World Book Day winners. All classes from 1st to 6th class were given the challenge of designing a new cover for their favourite book.
The Library Committee were blown away by the effort and talent of the over 250 entries submitted! Well done to all of our winners. Their fantastic designs will be proudly displayed in our School Library and will play an important role in continuing to promote and foster a love of reading in Glór na Mara.
We would like to sincerely thank Loreta and Tramore Library for their ongoing support. Some of the lucky winners got to choose one of the fantastic new books donated to the school from Loreta and her team.
Finally a note of recognition and appreciation of our wonderful Library Committee here in Glór na Mara. They are diligent, enthusiastic leaders and this was on display yet again as they organised, presented and led the assembly from start to finish! They engaged both young and older readers alike with their fun ' Guess the Author/Title' game. The Committee also informed us that the popular Dogman series of books have been rented over 200 times in the last few months! A massive well done to all involved.
