Waterford U16 All Ireland Winners Visit
22nd Jun 2025
What an honour it was to host a special Active Schools Assembly for the Waterford U16 camogie team after their fantastic win over Offaly in the All Ireland Shield Final in May.
It was made even more special as one of our past pupils, Frances McCann, was a part of the winning squad.
Alby and Éabha from 4th class who are members of Tramore Camogie Club, welcomed the team and their coaches and spoke about how they would love to follow in their footprints and play for Waterford some day.
The girls are wonderful role models for all of our students and spent lots of time chatting to members of our school camogie team and signing autographs.
We really appreciate the Waterford team and their coaches taking the time to visit us. We're all so proud of Frances, her team and coaches. Déise abú!
